I popped into our local Aldi today. While I was there, I thought I would see what dairy-free Easter Eggs were in Aldi. They have a large Easter section and I came home with quite a haul of dairy-free Easter Eggs. This is exciting for two reasons. Firstly, the choice of Free From Easter Eggs is improving every year. Secondly, never has the price been more important. Everyone is feeling the squeeze on our wallets at the moment and it is really frustrating when we know we have to pay more for dairy-free Easter Eggs and chocolate.
Are you looking for a dairy-free Easter Egg hunt?
Aldi dairy free has you covered with this box of 10 foil-wrapped eggs which are labelled as dairy-free, soya-free and gluten-free. There isn’t anything else in the box but as you are likely to be hiding them anyway, I don’t think that matters. Currently priced at £2.69 for a box containing 10 eggs.

Aldi Dairy Free Easter Eggs
Aldi currently has two different ranges of dairy-free Easter Eggs in our local store. The Dairyfine range is aimed at a younger age group and the Moser Roth Free From range. the Dairyfine range is pretty cute for younger children. It’s especially nice to have some animal character eggs rather than just a plain Easter Egg. If you compare these to some of the other supermarkets, the price point is lower but I should point out that the eggs/animals are empty in the middle. As we know, other brands sometimes contain a treat bag inside the box or the egg itself.

Aldi’s Moser Roth Free From
Aldi’s Moser Roth range has a more grown-up offering if that is what you are looking for. Just be careful to read the labels to make sure you select the right ones! The eggs do have the advantage that they come with a treat of some truffles. Be sure to check the labels for any allergy and cross-contamination warnings.
Moser Roth Moser Roth Free From Belgian Dark Chocolate & Seville Orange Egg With Hidden Truffles 200g £4.49
Moser Roth Free From Salted Caramel Egg With Hidden Truffles 200g £4.49
Moser Roth Vegan Belgian Dark Chocolate Office Bunnies 120g £2.99
The little office bunnies are so cute and the perfect size for a little treat. They have a salted caramel filling. I actually have plans to use these bunnies as decorations for some Easter baking, but more of that to come in another post.
So what do they taste like?
So, let’s remember that these eggs are not super expensive so don’t go expecting high-end artisan chocolate. We were not blown away with excitement by the taste of any of the Dairyfine eggs but the kids were really excited. It’s not the taste for them but the fact there is something more exciting than an uninspiring dairy-free egg with dull packaging. For them, it’s all about being like the other kids, so for the price, they are a winner for me, and they ate them anyway!
